Coronavirus Relief Benefit
Every year in April, the Giving Arts Foundation does an Earth Day Benefit to raise funds and awareness for environmental and ocean conservation efforts. This year however, our event was canceled due to the Coronavirus. Even before our event had been canceled, we were talking about shifting the focus of the benefit towards helping those who had been most impacted by the virus. This was around mid-February, and it had barely made its way into the United States. It wasn't until March that we realized that this was a global pandemic. Now you'd be hard pressed to find someone who hasn't been negatively impacted by the coronavirus one way or another. That's why we decided to create the Coronavirus Relief Benefit where we will recruit 50+ tattoo shops to hold Flash Days all over the world and donate proceeds to the Giving Arts Foundation in which we will in turn donate proceeds from that event to the CDC Foundation.
