Nasa was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan.  As a child, she was intrigued by the unique quality of Anime, Manga, and video game artwork.  Early on she aspired to become a professional cartoonist, but as her interest in the fine arts grew, she turned instead to honing her own individual style.  

After moving to New York, she studied classic fine art under the guidance of accomplished portraitist, Brandon Soloff.  She continued to grow her skills at institutions like The Art Students League of New York and the National Academy School of Fine Arts.  

Nasa has been tattooing professionally since 2010.  Much of Nasa’s current inspiration comes from her childhood love of Anime and Manga, and it has made a major impact on her stylistic approach. She tattoos subjects with a heavy illustrative influence.
