The plan with this tattoo, was to incorporate the very thick scar she has (from being run over by a car) into a tree. We wanted to make it fit in and not be terribly noticeable, but at the same time, not cover it. She also wanted the Japanese "root over rock" to be incorporated with the roots and her ankle.
