This parrot tattoo belongs to Dave Barton, a good pal and rad tattooer out of Los Angeles, CA. He has, what he calls, "pirate shorts", (tattoos that cover his upper thighs that look like shorts) and asked me to add something high up on his hip... getting close to belt-line & his goods. It was an honor to tattoo a colleague and friend. I had a ton of fun designing this and tattooing it. I would love to do more illustrative tattoos like this. 5.5 hours.
