My client today came in with a bang up idea and told me to interpret it any way that I saw fit. The banners originally had the quote she brought in on them but when she saw it, my client thought the artwork itself spoke to her in a way that had no use for words and she left them off. Putting the banjo through the flower was an asthetic way to give both objects the size and detail they needed to stand out on a smaller canvas. Where as normally with a guitar and rose I would just do the headstock, the really interesting part of the banjo is its body. I really wanted to pay tribute to and play off of that.
