email this page to a friend This psychology themed tattoo was incredibly fun and very challenging--several different layers of visual symbolism and some tricky technical aspects. Much of it was done with a 5 round liner to ensure tightness of detail and longevity. The chaise lounge is a slightly ironic symbol of the therapist's office, and surrounding it are classic Gestalt psychology symbols, which are silhouettes that utilize the negative space around them to complete the image. You can look them up on the internet to see what I'm talking about, then you should be able to decipher why I rendered the symbols this way, and how I used them in the piece.
