Carlo wanted his first tattoo to represent his love for his wife. He told me he wanted a flower in the desert, on his chest (over his heart). So this was the outcome. I'm not sure if I fully understand his train of thought. But at least I can interpret it for myself. I don't know, but maybe it means, through the thick and thin, his love still blossoms. I also think it's cool to interpret it another way. That is, even if the earth becomes barren because of our own irresponsible doing, life finds a way to prevail. However, I'm not so self righteous enough to think that it's okay to pollute and pillage the earth just because I won't live see the day when the earth is void. I have to think of my children and the world they will live in. All I'm trying to say is respect this earth. Consume less.
