Bird Tattoos

07.06.15

Jeez, did you guys send out some type of network wide mesage to each other about collectively uploading bird tattoos? There's a whole bunch of them that just came through the site and it's been great to see everyone expressing their different styles across a common theme. Here are just a few of the avian friends we've seen recently.

Rember Orellana

Check out this goregous color realism great horned owl done by Rember. It's pretty rockin'. Want to learn more about how Rember executes such detailed work in both black & grey AND color? Join us in person or tune in to our live webcast of the seminar he'll be teaching during Black & Grey Week

Wade Rogers

This colorful bird tattoo backpiece was done by Wade Rogers of Blacklist Ink in Joplin, Missouri.  Mark your calendars because Wade is gearing up for a guest spot at Off the Map Tattoo in Grants Pass, OR in September. For more information on getting an appointment you can email him through the contact form on his TattooNOW artist profile page.

Laura Jade John Clark Tattoo

That purdy little swallow adorned with poppies on the left was done by talented lady tattooer, Laura Jade. Laura has been doing some great full color work as well as large scale blackwork pieces. It's been a pleasure seeing her work come in through the site and if you know what's good for you you'll try n snag an appointment with her when she's guest spotting at Off the Map Tattoo in Easthampton at the end of the month.

Next to Laura's tattoo is a bright, bold sparrow tattoo done by John Clark of Depiction Tattoo Gallery in Arlington, Texas. Depicition Tattoo has been a website client of ours for quite awhile and the artists over there do an awesome job generating content and uploading tattoo images on the reg. We love that almost as much as we love the colors John used in that little bird friend.

Micah Malone

And we can't forget about Micah Malone's epic phoenix torso piece that was also done at Depiction Tattoo! Aiiiii, look at all that totally solid color.

Pepper Tattoos Ryan Cook

And last but certainly not least are two tattoos from superstar clients, Pepper & Ryan Cook of Lucky Bella. Pepper rocks this realistic color bluejay with the same level of accuracy and detail that she does her black and grey work in and it produces a truly beautiful end product. Talk about a badass. And mirroring that sweet colorful bluejay is a beautifully creepy little raven skeleton sitting on an eyeball and some feiry faces. Love the concept and how the ribcage plays off the wrinkles under the eye so well.

Hope you enjoyed our little bird themed post. Have some suggestions on other themes/topics you'd like us to touch on? Just email management (at) tattoonow (dot) com with your ideas!
