Advertisment tattoos, what do you think?
Hey all. Been reading up on tattoos in the news lately, so I'll start sharing some headlines and some of my thoughts. There seems to be more and more folks
tattooing advertisements on themselves for the highest bidder. Let's hope it's a bad and short-lived fad. Now, throughout the years, plenty of people have tattooed images associated with companies and products on every part of their body, but it has been for the love of the company/product/image, not for the cash. Obviously there are plenty of
Harley Davidson tattoos, and love of motorcycles is the motivation for the tattoo, not advertising. People show their love of beer through tattoos, here's is a
Pabst Blue Ribbon beer tattoo, and here's a
Genesee beer tattoo. In fact, as I started writing this news report(Ha! I write news reports now!), Dan Henk was uploading a
tattoo done from a companies logo. Those tattoos are great. It expresses how much love for something the wearer has. But taking money to get a tattoo. I dunno, there's something in that doesn't make me happy inside. It seems to cheapen the tattoo, athough I guess we do need to try hard not to judge art. In the end I suppose it's really none of my business if people sell their skin and tattoo some advertisement on it, I just hope I never have to resort to those kinda marketing practices.
