During my most recent of guest spots at the Off the Map-Italy studio, I did this large shoulder tattoo. The client requested a merge of two portraits, one Native American and the other Maori. For the base of  this I used a portrait from the Edward S. Curtis Collection, titled "Big Head". From there I overlayed a carved mask and ink/paint textures. This piece was quite a challenge for many reasons.
