Anyone used Kabuki Outlining Ink?

Posted by xedgeasfuckx from IP: 70.178.11.2 on 11/24/08

I've only been tattooing professionally for about a year now, and I've always used Intenze Outlining Ink. I like it, but it seems like I'm always left wanting a little more out of it. It's not quite as dark as what I'm wanting. I've seen Kabuki Outlining Ink (made by Skin Candy) online. Has anyone tried Kabuki Ink? I've also seen National Triple Black, which I've heard is the ink Brandon Bond uses, which could be bullshit... but that's beside the point and I could care less who uses it as long as it's good ink. It's quite a bit cheaper than Kabuki and Kuro, which makes me wonder. Has anyone tried National?

oh yeah, and no asshole answers please. this isn't a dick measuring contest, or a chance for you to show how cool you are by dissing me. I have a sincere question, and I'd hate to blow 25.00 on a bottle of ink I'm going to hate.

Oh yeah, and noz, I've read a lot of your posts on here where you brag about how you're 6'5" and how you've taken all these boxing classes and shit. who the fuck cares?!? Trying to fight people over the internet is not tough, you're just making an ass out of yourself. And by saying all this, in no way am I trying to "start shit" with you, cause that's childish and senseless. When I ask a question I ask it from a professional stand point, not trying to start shit. I'm not a scratcher, and I'm not some kitchen wizard. I simply asked if anyone had tried Kabuki ink, and right away I get a "fuck off, dick head" remark from you. What the hell is that? Do you go around to each post and start shit with everyone? It seems like you do, from all the posts I've read. I had a simple, sincere question. I could see you dissing me if I was some 16 year old kid who just bought a kit off ebay, but I'm not. And I did nothing to you, and said nothing to you. All I did was ask a simple question about an ink product.
Do you have soooo much to prove that you have to make fun of me asking a question? Just chill out, man. This forum doesn't belong to you, and you have no right to regulate the questions by dissing everyone you feel is inferior to you.

Thanks a lot. Much love to you, brother.

it's pathetic that you're 32 years old talkin shit to people through a web forum. You're ten years older than me, and I would never even consider trying to start a fight through the internet. You need to grow up, buddy.

Anyway, if there's any one out there who's not a douche nozzle who has tried Kabuki Outline Ink... let me know what you thought of it. I've tried every other well-known black outline out there... Kuro, Starbrite, Intenze and others. Just wondering how Kabuki lays down. Or maybe there's some lesser known black outliners I've never heard of.

I've only been doin this professionally for about a year, and a total of about 3 years learning. I haven't paid my dues enough to know even close to everything, but I'm trying to be gracious and learn without running my mouth.... unless someone runs it to me. Ya get out what ya put in. And I respect the artists and their opinions who have been doing this a lot longer than I have.

Any help (actual help) would be very much appreciated.
Thanks.

I have been using kabuki outlining ink for about 6mo. or so and I like the way it lays down. Like you I have only been tattooing for a few years or so.
i first heard of kabuki outlining ink thru superior tattoo supply out of pheonix,az. they were out of the outlining ink I normally use and the sales rep suggested trying kabuki outlining ink. well so far I like it. the ink lays down really smooth, and the color is bold, not dull, or anything like that. so I hope this helps you with your question about how this ink stands up.

I use the Kuro outlining ink. Its starts out dark and stays dark, awsome for tribal work. Kuro also makes a tribal black and blue black but I have not tried those. Been using millenium colors I'm not happy with their ink except for the red and orange hues, the other colors just don't lay down well. Would like to switch to Kuro colors but they cost quite a bit.

Denver Co,

Man Noz is a dick and he thinks he is god know one has seen who he is or if he Tattoo's.

Serious Advice Now--- If you must Try it Skin Candy's Gotten Better over the years and if you get "shit water" Send it back and they send you a new bottle their all about no BS these Days I started using it cause i seen a few guys the at the shop use it, but trust worth Kuro Sumi for Black, Buy All Sorts Of Black you Can't Get Enough of the shit I Know I Have At Least 15 different Blacks from all sorts of brands, but get it from a reputable dealer not any Ebay Shit to many china knock offs don't trust that shit 25.00 a bottle isn't a waste either it's a investment Good luck kid

We need to start Up lifting younger artist and not down grading everyone

have used kabuki black outline for some time now and found that for outlining it's good but not the best, try kuro sumi for outline, the trouble with kabuki is that it is difficult to wipe away from stencil but it is great for a truly black solid finish for tribal and other solid black work
hope iv'e been some help
