You know this might be on the up and up but i would never take a job over seas to tattoo when there is so many places in the USA that can offer me a job. To many horror stories from getting over seas and only to find out there is no job other than being a whore.

and there are plenty of jobs other than being a hooker overseas, especially for a tattoo artist! Why wouldnt a tattoo artist take the oppertunity to build an international clientel. Its a great big world and you only have one life, see as much of the Earth and its people as you can I say! Traveling to distance places is one thing tattooing has to offer its artists. I say travel and learn. I loved the time I spent working overseas,LOVED IT.

I am an 18 year old student at Marystown Central High. After I graduate I plan on going to art school and learn about tattoos and hope to become a tattoo artist. Tattoos is one of my favourite things to draw and design. Hopefully I will become part of your venture some day.

Man being a tattoo artist and being from Newfoundland I can tell you, as nice of a place Newfoundland is, its not the place to come to work as a tattoo artist, I worked at one of the busier shops in the city and the are more than enuff artists in the city to tattoo the people who want to be tattooed. I'm leavin this place for a job in Calgary in 2 weeks........Peace Out Newfoundland

I really wish Visual Ink would get a tattoo astist who knows how to tattoo because I had one done there 3 weeks and they fuckin' ruined me!! They suck Big Time!!!! Don't lower yourself by working for them....There are much better tattoo shops in St. John's.
Why do some people say they can tattoo when the have no fucking idea how to do it......I have to say that I could have done a better job putting it on myself!

This message is directed towards Not Impressed. I work at Visual Ink and I hate to hear that you had a bad experience at our Studio. I wish you had come to us with your concerns, rather then lashing out and discrediting our Studio's name and Artist's work. The offer is open at any time for you to come in and have your tattoo fixed. We would really like to change your mind about the studio. We have recently changed management, and now employ 3 tattoo artists, and I myself am apprenticing. All of our artists have a great deal of experience - Bobby has 18 years, Brad 15 years, and Dave 9 years. I'm not sure who did your tattoo, or what exactly is wrong with it but you can come in and get a different artist to work on it at no cost. Every artist has strengths and weaknesses...it's human nature to make mistakes, I'm sorry that a weakness or mistake was part of your tattoo experience. We are quite devoted to customer service, and would like to help in any way we can.

Hey guys..this post is so funny..thanks for the read and the chuckle..lol..I am a tattoo artist in newfoundland..i recently started my own shop , and i am doing quite well i think mostly because i abide by the rules that tattooing started off with.."do it your own way ".i keep prices way way down..lol and i pick and choose whom i take on as clients because i cant speak for other shops but my buisness is repeat buisness.i just wanted to say that i have to disagree that diffrent tattoo artist "have strents and weaknesses"..i know that this is fact yes, but i think before i ever went commercial with this practice i made sure i was well rounded in every style..as should all artist that are leaving there permenant mark on human skin..i still am humbled that people come to me for something so personal and public..i love doing what im doing and it is not about the money if it were i would have picked something less stressfull..lol..i think if thats what it comes down to its time to take a break..dont get me wrong we all gotta eat but when art becomes a dollar sign..we all loose!! so anyways in the words of garver "its easy these days to become a tattoer , its not easy to become a good one "..ok im done ..lol
