Ryan Douglas Jacque, a native New Englander, was born August 14, 1971 in Northhampton, Massachusetts.
Ryan Jacque specializes in painstakingly detailed graphite pencil renderings of New England birds & mammals, and commisioned portaits. His work may be best described as painting in pencil; His scenes are rendered almost exclusively in meticulous shading, with little or no line work. Often mistaken for a photographic technique, his style creates a unique and endlessly compelling work of art.
