I began tattooing in Western North Carolina in late 2002 at a less-than-reputable establishment. After learning what I could on my own, I began getting tattooed by Mike Cole in '03. He steered me more in the right direction, turning me on to more artists and schools of thought, previously un-discovered by me. I later took a job at what I hoped to be a wonderful shop in Asheville, NC. I had recently snagged my B.A. in Multimedia Arts & Sciences from UNC-A, unfortunately, turns out it was more ego than learning and understanding. Then I made my move, settling in with Mario Bell and Brian Allen at Mario's new shop, Two Kings Tattooing. I instantly meshed with the guys and began to work hard, honing my skills as a tattooer. I have been here now for 5 years and still learn something every day by watching and experimenting with new equipment and artistic theory. I don't consider myself to be a certain style artist, I just love tattooing and like to do any style of work regardless.
