Born and raised in NYC, Alex Sherker first learned electric tattooing with a Spaulding machine and acetate stencils. Some things change, and others dont. His true love lies in traditional "old school" Americana designs, the older and truer to historical precident the better; but traditional Japanese designs are rendered with no less care and finesse. Artsy-fartsy art school graduate, ex-80's punk rocker, an probably the sweetest guy you'll ever meet, even if it doesnt seem that way when you meet him. Alex is rooted in New York art/tattoo tradition and is an 'old-school' minded guy: just doin' tattoos.
