From an early age I was fascinated with art from Frank Frazetta to Speed Racer. I loved the variation of styles. Drawing more than playing with toys, I first came in contact with tattooing, in the 6th grade. CARtoons Magazine, (A Big Daddy Ed Roth publication) the ads in the back were advertising tattoo related products. Along with Ed Roth's work it was the most edgy art I had ever seen. Being reprimanded in school that year for drawing tattoos on kids (with markers) for their lunch money, I never dreamed I would end up in this industry. During High School I was hooked on comics. Learning to draw the human form doing most anything, I tried to break into the industry for years. Doing a small body of work, including a 40+ page comic book of which the pages where fully painted, but it never got me where I wanted to be. Exposed once again to the tattoo world at 19, I started tattooing out of my house at 20. Using my photos and full color comic book to land my first job in the industry, I went to work for Tigger at Tigger's Body Art. Working at Tigger's for 5 years, was an education all its own. Opening CAT TATTOO at age 26, and making use of my learning experience at Tigger's, I wanted my studio to excel beyond what the present studios had to offer. CAT TATTOO was the first all custom tattoo studio in the Dallas, FT. Worth Metroplex. Spending more than a decade promoting and building my studio's reputation, CAT TATTOO is now a cornerstone of the tattoo industry for Dallas if not Texas."
