email this page to a friend This tattoo was a total blast to do. And it was just one of those things where a client mentioned (while we were working on a previous project) a desire for "some sort of gypsy girl tattoo, but not like all the usual ones you see". We were already working on a piece, so i didnt rush it, just drew something up in my free time - playing with the idea. I had been wanting to tattoo an owl, and remembered a production of Carmen i once saw which related owls and gypsies (dont ask), and just put 'em together to see how it'd gow. Showed her the drawing the next week and BLAMMO: there you go. Tattoo serendipity if you will. |
