email this page to a friend Done while guest spotting at Last Rites this past December. The gentlemen receiving this tattoo wanted something to represent the intertwined relationship of life and death...the new life growing from her severed throat I thought was a good representation...Just think about it, when we're all dead and buried, our decaying bodies will nurture and fertilize new vegetation around us and thus the life cycle continues! I also did the sketch for this in red pencil and we both just thought it looked cool as is, so instead of making it black and gray or traditional coloration we kept it more monotone.
