email this page to a friend Traditional Mexican Day of the Dead (Dia De Los Muertos) sugar skulls are just that: skulls made of sugar. Everyone eats 'em. The little ones are basically rock candy, and the big ones are marzipan, and they're all decorated with all sorts of fancy filligree and such. It's a pretty popular tattoo theme as well. But most of the tattoo sugar skulls follow a formula. I decided to decorate this sugar skull with an owl (instead of the more predictable roses or candles or spiderwebs). Turns out, the owl is a HUGE symbol to the guy this is tattooed on. I call it Kismet, Dia De Los Muertos tattoo style. Image CommentsThere are no comments for this image. Be the first to leave one! |
